Thanks for drilling this down. It surprises me that the installation of
jdownloader makes a difference -- or does the problem only occur when it is
running?
Either way, jdownloader is not an official Ubuntu package and because of this
the Ubuntu project can not fix your particular bug. Please r
I created a new account, checked that the problem was not present.
I installed jdownloader and since then cannot edit filenames more than once.

No, it is not a dropbox issue.
I created another user, reinstalled nautilus-dropbox, and the problem

There's something else.

I don't see anything immediately obvious from your list of installed packages.
To rule out your specific configuration and session: Could you create a new
user, log in as the new user and test whether you can reproduce the problem?

Yes, i have this problem with all the views.
I do have some messages concerning nautilus like:
Initializing nautilus-gdu extension
Initializing nautilus-dropbox 0.6.8
** (nautilus:1888): DEBUG: Got notification of SyncDaemon startup in
NameOwnerChanged
and tons of these:
(nautilus:1888): GLib-G
Thanks for the added info. I cannot reproduce your bug here and I did not see
any other reports about this. Does the problem occur with all views in nautilus
(list, icons, etc.)? Could you check your ~/.xsession-errors file whether you
see any nautilus error messages?
