odolühi, use the latest ndiswrapper (currently this is 1.43) and uninstall the drivers and install the latest drivers from Atheros. golfbuf, your problem isn't related to this bug, nor is it a bug. You have to use the correct driver. Use a 32bit-driver if you are running a 32it-Ubuntu (i386). (If

I tested the latest version 1.42 of ndiswrapper and it works now. I can plug and unplug the dongle with sheer impunity and the driver doesn't crash. There is still one problem though: I cannot start the laptop with the USB dongle in. I have to wait until I log in, then attach the dongle. -- [h

Installed ndiswrapper-utils-1.9 version 1.30-1ubuntu1 and got the ndiswrapper kernelmodule loaded (I had to blacklist the rt2570 kernelmodule) Now the rausb0 (no wlan0) device is present, attached wpa_supplicant to the device rausb0 and got the network working. this is working for the kernel 2.6

just to add, i've installed ndiswrapper-utils-1.9 and it is working! kernel is 2.6.20-9-generic, now i have wlan0 interface which works only "bug" is when i want to use ad-hoc mode, my connection last for about few minutes or sometimes even less that that... tested it few times, it repeats. dmesg
