[Bug 891113] Re: 'gnome-classic' does not allow for icons in top panel anymore

2011-11-16 Thread indium
I thought that something was missing in the panel, because I couldn't put icons on it anymore (the gnome-classic 'no-effects' version). But it turned out that you need the Alt key to drag icons into the panel. This was probably in some manual that I never read. ** Changed in: gnome-panel (Ubuntu)

that works indeed! thanks for the tip and sorry for calling this a bug when it's a "new approach" to doing "an old thing". -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/891113 Title: 'gnome-classic

In Gnome 3 Panel, you should hold Alt key and then right-click the panel, instead of just right-clicking. Also, dragging a shortcut from the menu still works. Does this solve your problem? ** Package changed: meta-gnome3 (Ubuntu) => gnome-panel (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: gnome-panel (Ubuntu)
