For some reason removing Adobe Flash in the software center then
reinstalling it in the software center fixed the problem. Thanks Jeremy.
fyi. Before removing and reinstalling it, I went back into Mozilla
Firefox Tools, Add-ons and the Plug-ins tab. I clicked on the Find
Updates tab and it opened
