same here. Ubuntu 1204 64bit and Ubuntu 10.04 64bit ; I can connect to
facebook chat, send messages but I can't recieve them . Other channels
( gmail, y!, icq ) work

In Ubuntu 12.0464-bit (Unity 3D), Empathy 3.4.1, I can receive messages but I
can't send any.
Sent messages do not appear in facebook, too.

I can send messages but I don't receive any.
This must have sneaked in through an update either of empathy of fb. I can see
in my chat history that I had it working 111010 at least.
