It seems like this problem is somehow related to the integrated NVidia Optimus technology of my laptop. If I change the BIOS settings (Graphics Device -> Integrated Graphics, OS Detection for NVidia Optimus -> Disabled) to use the integrated graphics card only, the above SATA errors disappear. Re-
