Based on your assumption I will investigate here by downloading the ISO
file again, burning slowly to a CD.
I will test the memory of the PC and try again to Install this OS in a
side by side fashion.
Installation on dev/sda 15 16 and 17 (/ /home and swap) but i will

Ended jusdt now the installation of Lucid 10.04-3 Alternate without error, then
probably if the md5 sums of the downloaded and burned images matching the one
on the site I can only suppose a problem with the driver or a bad compatibility
qith the disk.

thank you for being concerned about my problem.
It is the alternate CD I am trying to install
As far as I am aware this does not have a live session.
however here is what i am trying to do
Install 10.04 LTS along side 11.04
gparted
partition sda15 sda16 sda17 are to be th
Seems to me that there are problems with the cd reader.
Run the live session, try the installation again, when it stop then came here
and attach, using the button below
'Add attachment or patch' the files
/var/log/syslog
/var/log/partman
