First: Sorry for my crappy paste of the ubuntu-bug information in my previous post. Second: If I switch from unity to unity2d, the freezes do not occur; as the OP has problems with fglrx and I with nvidia (and others e.g. to be found at askubuntu.org with intel graphics) it seems that the context/
