I fixed it by removing the chromium folder at /home/myusername/.config/
and did a reinstall. Now Chromium is working fine.

I removed "screen_capture.so" and the directory
"clcbnchcgjcjphmnpndoelbdhakdlfkk" with everything in it temporarily
with the same result.
I also tried "chromium-browser --incognito" from the terminal, which
returns "Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
Killed" and it still fre
Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. You seem to have a local
extension in
/home/elijah/.config/chromium/Default/Extensions/clcbnchcgjcjphmnpndoelbdhakdlfkk/3.7.6_0/plugin/screen_capture.so,
would you be able to temporarily move this out of the way to see if
Chromium starts?
