Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed
The fact that there was "no activity" doesn't mean that the problem "expired"
too. Just now gedit and archive manager shows
this behaviour. After choosing them via alt-tab I was able to access their
menu, but not screen area.

After 30 minutes of usage thunderbird (write new message), gedit
and pidgin (pidgin in fullscreen only )
became white.
Will switch to ubuntu 2D

It was up to date by the time I filed the bug.
I switched to ubuntu 2d since then, as 3d was unusable
Now I switched back (there was an update just before). I will report how it is
going

At various occations different windows don't show their contents
For example thundrebird 'Attach' dialog doen't allow to choose file.
It happend shortly after I switched to another user and then return back.
Unity(or compitz ) seems unusable

Next I found that similary I cannot use nautilus, even worst, because returnibg

After I tried to start flightgear game ( flight simulator ) and nothing happens
I found that thunderbird is broken in the same way, and gedit doesn't work
either.
In my first session I also tried to run flightgear simulator. I will avoid
trying it for a while
