Still same. Finally i gave up and did fresh install of 11.10. Now i will

Ok, you do have some custom PPA's. Try this:
sudo rm r /var/log/dist-upgrade/*
then try an upgrade again. When it fails, attach the new files that will be
re-written to /var/log/dist-upgrade

I am not seeing an error about samba, I do however see many about the
xserver. Do you have an xorg PPA installed? Attach the files from
within:
/etc/apt
Also, feel free to run the update-manager in a terminal so that you can see the
output. Then copy that output here.
