Can someone please test:
1) Does the problem exist with the latest version of virtualbox?
2) Does the problem exist with the development version of Ubuntu (12.04, with
packages up to date)?
We need to find out if it's still out there before we forward this to
virtualbox's bug trackers.

I encoutered the same problem with a Virtualbox installation and Unity-
3D. The same system, running Unity-2D, works fine.

Well make sure you are using Unity 3D and not 2D, if you are using Unity 3D (I
can't tell from the screenshot)
Then it might be a bug with the VirtualBox 3D virtual graphics adapter and i'll
forward it to their bug tracker.
