Oops, yes judging by the fact that you're having this problem with a
variety of packages -- it's not likely Mixxx's bug and as Scott says --
it's likely related to your hardware issue.

Hi Stefan,
Sorry you're having issues. I'll check it out but in the mean time, you
could try our PPA.. Mixxx 1.7.2 is very ancient and the PPA has a more
recent version (1.9.0).
