Xracer remains broken. I tried to run it and I've experienced the same
problems that are reported.
More to the point, it seems that this report is a duplicate of

Looks identical to a Debian bug, so confirming it.
But that bug has been sitting around upstream since 2002, the package
has been orphaned, and the URL of the upstream version is broken. I
don't see much chance of getting this fixed, unless somebody around here
wants to take on the job of maintain
