yes, daniel tells the true, i've uploaded it yesterday in Debian
unstable, the changelog looks like:

libtelepathy (0.0.42-1ubuntu1) feisty; urgency=low
* New upstream release.
* Removed patches/10-unref-type-iface-when-d

As I don't see a debian/changelog in the diff, did you actually package
the new upstream version and test it? could you please attach a
buildlog?
