I can reproduce this bug, and triggered crash report bug 863439 while
doing so.
Launching the first and second instances in separate terminals, when the second
instance crashed, this appeared in the first terminal:
/usr/share/software-center/softwarecenter/ui/gtk3/widgets/searchentry
