Can you provide example data which has the an incorrect timestamp in the
data field in the messages table? IMO, as long as we are consistently
storing the timestamp as UTC, calculating the delta will be reliable.

particular case), not Gwibber. Fair enough.
So is there an API from the actual service(s) to attempt to get the
timezone configured for the account? What I'm thinking is that Gwibber
*should* (ideally) store all timestamps relative t
The time stored in the database is the time given to us from the social
network for the account (facebook,twitter, etc). So gwibber doesn't
really do any real magic with the time to convert it, gwibber simply
stores the time the post was made or last updated on the web service.
