Thanks guys,
Beryl was installed as a 'third party' add on. All i did was click on the
"crash reporter" icon, it brought one striaght to here.
I'll keep hunting around in the beryl forums for a fix (all fixes found so
far have not worked :-( )

thank you for your bug. There is no beryl package to Ubuntu, that's not
an Ubuntu bug. You can probably contact the people distributing the
package you are using
