Hmm iirc I was running a local (gnu-)screen session, but nothing
administrative stuff, like apt, aptitude or synaptics. I've been surfing
before, switched to an other viewport with the screen terminal and
noticed some seconds later my hard drive working, and wondered why. That

You remember anything else you did that might be noteworthy? Did you ran
a security upgrade, changed any theme/fonts or something else? Did you
do something administrative in the terminal?
