I can confirm also that it's nothing to do with lubuntu software center,
that seems to be having a bug altogether unrealated. PCManFm seems to
close by itself on background processes after boot. Upon opening pcmanfm
later for file viewing it lasted approx two minutes before dying.

Indeed, I am using pcmanfm on xubuntu, where I do not have any other lubuntu
related components, and this crash appears to have happened to me as well.

No sorry, I forgot the smileys. I was just kidding. What I was actually
trying to say is: I never heard of the Lubuntu Software Center before
reading this bug report but I'm having the same crashes so it's not
uniquely related to the Lubuntu Software Center.

Lubuntu software center was installed from the Lubuntu 12.04 iso image. It
is a python application, lubuntu-software-center, that looks like ubuntu
software center. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
