11.10 Oneiric Ocelot.
Even worse: it does not automatically reconnect after
unplugging/replpugging the LW153. Only after a lot of tries it sometimes
does.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed
in the latest development version of Ubuntu - Oneiric Ocelot.
The only way of making rt3070 chipset work in older releases would be to
update the kernel, whic
I did a second test and had a stable connection for more than 1 hour and
41 minutes, installed flash player and watched a video during that. So
I' m pretty sure the problem no longer exists in Oneiric Ocelot Alpha 3.
On Ubuntu 10.10 it disconnected me after about 15 minutes, then after
reconnecting
I marked the bug as incomplete because I needed to know whether the
problem occured in Oneiric or not to see if a fix had already been
released (to avoid duplicating development that has already been done).
So can you definitely confirm that the problem no longer exists during
testing of the latest
I am new to testing Ubuntu alpha, but this is what I did:
Downloaded the Alpha 3 release of Oneiric Ocelot, burned it to a dvd-rw and
booted the laptop with it. LW153 plugged in during boot. Connected to my
wireless network.
lsusb now lists the lw153 as `Bus 001 Device 002: ID 177f:0153 Sweex LW
