Is there anything that can be done if the theme doesn't work now?
Unfortunately this is the case here, Kubuntu Oneiric 64-bit.

Agreed, this is low-risk, high-benefit, and the patch looks good. Low-
hanging fruit that improves multiarch usability is a good thing.
