I have a A4-3310MX, so I don't know if there are any differences besides
different clock speeds.
Precise Alpha 2 fix for the A4 is done on kernel 3.2.0-12-generic.
Fresh install will get screen detected and stuff, however, WiFi is now broken.
Did you get any issues with wireless cards on

I am reopening the Precise task, as I have just tested with Precise Alpha2
build, and the display still turns off after selecting Try ubuntu without
installing from the liveCD, as this blocks starting the user interface at all.

I tested 14.23+apu06 and i've got the same problem.
I boot each time on 3.0.0-13 (#22) for install the new one for test and
this one works but with no internet connection.
Maybe i have to reset some configuration, isn't it ?

- Install stock Oneiric image from USB stick
- Hit "esc" and then "F6" and select all extras options
- VT will be shown, run "apt-get update" and "apt-get install fglrx" and

sorry for the delay, i were in holiday this week far away my pc
I don't have any fglrx installed.
I used my mobile phone, with kernel 3.0.0.0-13, to add (last week) ppa
kernel pre-proposed. I have only 2 kernel installed 3.0.0.0-13 and
3.0.0.0-16 and every time i boot on this one, i've go
We're waiting on the testing of the PPA kernel with Oneric to see if it
fixes the issue. I've tagged 'verification-needed'. According to comment
#38 kernel version 3.0.0.0-13 works, but according to comment #49 kernel
version 3.0.0-16.26 does not fix the issue.

Okay. after downloading the files I burnt them to a cd and I installed a
fresh copy of Ubuntu 11.10 AMD64 by using the Install option using
"nomodeset" under options as it gets a black screen otherwise. After
installing I booted into recovery and mounted the file system as
read/write and mounted th
Okay. Downloading and just to let you know I have a Toshiba L775D-S7206, but it
is having the same issues. My APU/GPU is the same as in post #6.
Will report back.
