It turns out that the server got moved at the same time the upgrade happened, and *surprise* somebody flipped the SCSI enclosure's bus separation switch. Fixed it => no more problem. -- [megaraid] driver doesn't find disks (regression from dapper) https://launchpad.net/bugs/82481 -- ubuntu-bug
