I am also getting this problem with DVD+Rs. k3b brings up a dialog
saying "Found media: DVD+R (empty). Please insert an empty or
appendable DVD±R into drive _NEC DVD_RW ND-3550A (/dev/hdc)". I notice
that both I Sputnik have NEC drives.
It works fine when I click "force", but that then mutes ot

To answer these correctly I just tried to burn again. This time k3b did
_not_ reject the +DVD. I'm really glad about that - but I am also sorry
not to be able to help with this strange bug.
The problem disappeared!

could you provide a bit more information please, you said k3b rejects
normal "+DVDs" or "-DVDs" but wants "+-DVDs" what was the error message
that told you this?
also are you having problems with dvd media from the same pack that
worked before the
