I have the same problem on uptodate Xubuntu 11.04 on an Acer Aspire One
(160GB HDD model)
Suspend was working fine, then suddenly I get the blank screen, still
backlit, and no response from keyboard, only thing I can do is hold down
the power button until it powers off. I don't get a suspend first
This is not a duplicate.

I confirm this bug on HP Pavilion dv5 1164er. The function worked perfectly for
Natty and Maverick.
After going back from hibernate or suspend I see nothing but a black screen
with a blinking text cursor in

same problem - when I click on Suspend or Hibernate button just lock
