Currently I am running Ubuntu 11.10 with FZ 3.5, on a different
computer, and it's working fine.
What happened was that while working I'd lost control over FZ window, no
way to close or minimise it, or run any command. Only solution was open
a term and do killall
It freezes but doesn't crash?
Have you experienced the same problem in more recent versions of Ubuntu?

Exactly the same symptoms in my case.
