I guess you are right about the duplicate bug report. Sorry about that.
My password contained the characters ø and å. This worked fine when
updating though.
I'm far from a linux expert. But I found out from the language support
that my default language is 'English (Australia)'. No other languages
Thank you for your bug. Login with a 20 chars password works fine for me
and other people have no problem user a password longer than 15 chars
neither. What locale do you use? Do you use a ome non ascii char? That
could be a duplicate from bug #70901
