Disabled all extensions and plug-ins but got the same problem.
Tried the command "firefox -ProfileManager", made a new profile and it's
working.

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Sometimes Firefox profiles can
become corrupt and/or extensions can conflict. Could you please try
this with a new profile and see if the problem still exists? You do not
need to delete your old profile to test. If this helps, you might want

Most websites facilitate the 'Remember me' option through the use of
cookies. Could you verify that cookies are being set?
Specifically, check if the 'Accept cookies from sites' box is checked, and if
the 'Keep until' option is set to 'they expire'.
