You was right. multiverse repository was not prepared in sources.list by
default. So I uncommented only backports that was prepared.
I used "Software Sources" tool to add multiverse directory to
sources.list. I can install vmware-player now.
Sources.list after fix:
$ grep multi /etc/apt/sources.
$ grep multi /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://cz.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ edgy-backports main restricted
universe multiverse
deb-src http://cz.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ edgy-backports main restricted
universe multiverse
$ sudo apt-get install vmware-player
Reading package lists... Done
Buildi
Is your multiverse security repository activated in /etc/apt/sources.list ? If
not, please activate it and try again.
Could you do in a terminal sudo apt-get install vmware-player and copy-paste
the error ?
Thanks
