Crash happend when starting synaptic. (Just after reboot after recent

Same here, new install from alpha2, and fully updated,
Also did the sudo apt-get update
and sudo apt-get upgrade
to make sure everything is fully installed.

The other bug got closed because apparently it was an upgrade to karmic.
I fail to see why the discussion of this bug should go on to the other

Thank you for taking the time to report this crash and helping to make
Ubuntu better. This particular crash has already been reported and is a
duplicate of bug #441483, so is being marked as such. Please loo
another one moment:
1) open update-manager
2) get error (alert with 3 options 'Restart program', 'Report a bug', 'Cancel')
3) go to terminal and try to run sudo apt-get update
this is what I have:
$ sudo apt-get update
E: Could not get lock /var/lib/apt/lists/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily

Just installed a fresh copy of the Alpha 2 and updated through the
Update Manager, a partial update, restarted and now as described before,
launching the Update Manager makes it and zeitgeist-daemon both close
unexpectedly.

Just updated via update-manager and didn't experience a crash.
$ dpkg -l update-manager
