Ubuntu has this in /etc/timezone
Evolution stores this data in gconf at /apps/evolution/calendar/display/timezone
They seem to use the exact same format, so it should be not that hard to
make evolution use ubuntu's setting.

no ubuntu is not using some patches and upstream is talking about
something else, evolution uses the system timezone definition intead of
having its own settings, it still display this wizard question though

Upstream bug says:
"Integration with system time zone had been done in Evolution 2.12. Can we close
the bug ? TIA."
however in hardy the bug is still present. Is ubuntu using some patch
that, on purpose or by mistake, disables the upstream fix?
