I just can say it SHOULD work, since Mint is based on Ubuntu; but be sure that
Mint 12 is based on Ubuntu 12.04.
Keep in mind that i still have bugs using touch (under Precise = 12.04, not

I've been reported this behavior last week (the strange touches).
After getting some logs, I definitively spotted the bug. ;-)
Now, I think I found the solution.

After applying the patch, realized that the patch doesn't support click
yet. Tried to contact Ritesh, but got to know that he is on vacation and
that The "click" event on the patch is not applied yet.

As far as I know, the device works based on IR and not resistive.
Here is the lsmod output

it seems it's a new type of devices
(I can't find it on any of known mt devices)
But if it is reporting event, then it should be already using a module.
(maybe just hid, don't know !)

Maybe some people from the mutli-touch-dev list can help too.
