Please test with the proposed version of Unity from natty-proposed and
let us know if the situation is fixed. There was a confirmation in
another bug for a fix for launcher auto-hide case.

hmm - well, I use inkscape quite a bit, have not had the problem happen
- Opera I don't use at all..so maybe.

Unity for now. First we need to know, why it behaves as it. Even if it
is triggered by LibreOffice, it does not mean LibreOffice is at fault
here. So first, it needs to be identified what is causing this in unity.
Then we know if it is LibreOffice doing something valid but uncommon
(unity bug) or i
Well, all I can add is that, so far, LibreOffice is the _only_
application that seems to trigger the problem. Just to be clear, it is
not an issue when the application launches but during the use of the
application - it seems to be triggered when working with embedded
graphics/frames in a document

This situation with Unity has gotten so bad that I have changed back to
classic. One neat thing is that I was able to put in a side panel and load it
up with my favorites. It is actually better than Unity.
