There is probably bug in some Debian patch, because self compiled
version of labplot works, while official version doesn't.

I also compiled Labplot 1.6.0 pre 3 (as described by stikonas), but my "import
opj project" option in the File menu is disabled (see attached jpg)
Maybe I am missing something?

The same problem is in Ubuntu 7.10, kde. I tried to compile Labplot
1.5.1.6 and liborigin. Compiled version also crashed. Then I compiled
Labplot 1.6.0 pre 3. This version successfully imported OPJ file from
origin 7.5. Maybe Labplot 1.6.0 on Ubuntu 8.04 will work correctly.

I have the same problem, Ubuntu 7.04, gnome, it crashes importing origin
project. this is the output when labplot is loading:

I have the same problem. Origin 7.5, ubuntu6.10, gnome though
