I have to confirm this problem with 12.10 x64 and my Acer Travelmate 8172
I have to use WLAN because my laptop jack is directly next to the easyport
socket.
And the VGA port isn't working, which defeats the purpose of having an port
replicator.
USB is sometimes not working on wakeup from suspend
I have also asked for a workaround here but I won't expect an answer:

Same problem only in the LAN interface after upgrading from 10.04 to
12.04 my Acer TravelMate 8572T (i3 x32). In 10.04 everything works fine,
but now I access my LAN only if I put the cable directly in the laptop
jack bypassing the docking. I try to boot from Precise live CD and i
have the same pro
