Should be easy to fix.
When you go to the recovery option in the ubuntu menu, you are logging
in as root, this means you have full access and can do anything to the
system, which is not recommended for regular use.

my Ubuntu Single sign on account and they ask me my user name and
password and for some reason all the passwords started failing one by

It just started as one thing like screen lock out and the more I tried
to do it keep asking for the password or auth password to do anything
and they were just working just before and yes it is a fresh install. I
am sure it must of been something I did but I don't know what, any help
