On the contrary. I am the maintainer of the Alexandria project, and most
of our bugs are related to 0.15.0 paired with Alexandria on Edgy. We
receive many uninteresting backtraces that just say "crashed" as a
result. Alexandria is much more stable when running with 0.16.0 from
tarball. Actually, Al
I just hope there is no packaged ruby application (like alexandria etc)
which relies on the deprecated bindings, in which case the upload could
break them.

there is a bug in libglade2-ruby that breaks glade support completely in 0.15,
forcing me to distribute alternative .deb files with my code to fix this.
upgrading would solve the problem.

One other problem with 0.16 is that they dropped gstreamer bindings and
i'm not sure who maintains them now (if anybody...)

The current bindings do work fine for me (and my numerous ruby-gtk2 programs).
But 0.16.0 would be better, it would allow me for instance to use
Gtk::StatusIcon.
Problem is that debian is also still at 0.15.
