Since apt.ubuntu.com isn't using the X-Ubuntu header and the Launchpad
task I opened was closed, I've removed the code which implements this
entirely from Ubufox now. I don't see the point in maintaining code

Launchpad (and possibly Getdeb/Playdeb) uses that information so that it
only displays packages for the version you are using. Would it be
possible to add the information to the ubufox package?

Those preferences were never properly supported and have gone as part of
the UA string refactoring and cleanup. There is no longer and vendor
information in the UA string.
If Launchpad needs this information, I can special-case this in ubufox
to send a X-Ubuntu header with the version number in it
