This bug seems to have been fixed sometime in the past week, because the problem no longer occurs. One additional step that I took was to disable the "shout" audio_output stanza, since I wasn't using it anymore. I'm not sure what particular factor fixed the problem. -- /etc/init.d/mpd is not ru
