This happens to me on 12.10. And also blank windows - not just visually
blank, you can actually see through them, i.e. if you move them, the
image you see is not frozen, also you can click through.

I have seen the white-out-on-Increase-size in many apps, including
Banshee, Movie player (Could not go full-screen), and Firefox.
I saw an Internet board posting that said this works if you revert to Version
173 of the Nvidia (Additional Driver).
(Needs reboot).
I have done that, and so far so g
It is mostly when running Empathy and Evolution, but yesterday I noticed
it once when neither were running. It is definitely linked to them both,
however, from what I can tell.

Ditto Symptoms - I have the same problem.
Clean Natty install today. Nvidia driver (Although, apparently due to a jockey
bug, it claims not to be in use, although it actually IS).

It turns out that isn't the case either. I have just experienced the
problem again, in gedit, after having just mounted a volume sdb. These
two events may or may not be related, however mounting the volume had no
effect yesterday, so it is doubtful this is the cause, however Empathy
hasn't been ope
As it seems, if I don't start Empathy, this bug does not occur in the
session.
