Now again this time when I tried to click on the put calendar icon on
system tray. In fact now that I remember it every since I have done
that the system has been crashing!

I am having the same problem. Kontact crashes intermittantly. This time
it crashed after I tried to update the address field in my contact. The
it crashed when I tried to use teh contact list to send an email.
I really like the functionalityu of this program but this is a show
stopper! I am not

I confirm this bug and link it to upstream bug in KDE:
crashes occur frequently within Kontact, with or without user interaction. This
happens since Warty, so there is a serious inconsistency in Kontact which
affects nearly all distributions.
Confirmed bug upstream too.
