The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.

since I experienced this problem and there is no direct solution for this "bug"
written here I decided to post my experience. I installed Hardy on a FS
Lifebook S7020. No sound was heard after completion of the instal

I can confirm this since I have just received a lifebook S7021 (should
be nearly identical to the S7020 but sold in different countries). After
a fresh install of Hardy and in Linux Mint 5 this bug is present. Not to
mention the headphone and mic jacks do not seem to work. I'll post back
