it helps, but I get those errors:

Go the the directory where guidance-power-manager.py resides, the apply
the patch with
patch -p0 < guidance-power-manager.diff
And report back if that helps.

I can change the sliders settings but and the output is:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/upload/fotoiris# Traceback (most recent call last):

aronchi: interesting - it is very similar problem as the related debian bug.
Can you provide the following info:
- output of "id" command
- output of "cat /var/lib/acpi-support/*-*"
Does setting the brightness sliders in config dialog of powermanager
works? Are there also some messages reported o
This is the console output:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/share/python-support/kde-guidance/guidance-power-manager.py", line
411, in poll
self.powerHasBeenUnplugged()
File "/usr/share/python-support/kde-guidance/guidance-power-manager.py", line

Debian reporter (Rainer Dorsch) confirmed that patch fixes it for him.
aronchi, wanger123: it would be still good to get console output of
guidance-power-manager from your systems so that we better understand
the root cause of your problem.

Can you start guidance-power-manager from command line (Konsole) and provide
output it generates when you disconnects AC adapter?
I suspect this is same problem as the one in debian, but it may be caused by
different root cause.
