this can be closed I think, it's not a bug, it's a problem with amarok
being compiled against a different version of mysql than the one running
on my/your/... system which may but will not always cause this. It
solves itself by having the right version of both (usually by upgrading
amarok again).
I've been using the mysql database for my collection in amarok as well, and
have seen the same problem happening. This has been ever since updating to
Feisty.
