Just for the record, now that I read things more closely, this is an
expected behavior: -t "downgrades" everything to ASCII characters or
digits. If you want to preserve diacritics, then, please, use the -l
option instead of -t.

If I understand the original bug report correctly, the problem is only
the diacritics in the download
