I think this is a duplicate of Bug #75753.
Short term solution (works as long as you don't reboot) could be to fix
the file permissions:
1) sudo chgrp cdrom /dev/sg*
2) sudo chgrp cdrom /dev/cd*
3) sudo chgrp cdrom /dev/scd*
For long term solution I refer to the above bug to change the settin
Same problem here with Gnomebaker in feisty. My error is:
TOC Type: 3 = CD-ROM XA mode 2
wodim: No write mode specified.
wodim: Asuming -tao mode.
wodim: Future versions of wodim may have different drive dependent defaults.

Trying to burn an .iso... I'm having the same bug in Xubuntu 7.04 Beta Unstable.
It used to work in Xubuntu 6.10 Unstable.
Luckily the "cdrecord -v image.iso" command worked for me.
Xfburn simply does nothing. It just sits and waits until I press the
Close button. No errors.
I'm getting this erro
It sort of works now. By sort of, I mean it doesn't die right at the
beginning. It dies halfway through, producing a coaster.

Is this fixed, or going to be fixed before the release? I'd consider it
