This seems to fix the issue for me. Tested on Feisty wxwidgets2.6_2.6.3.2.1.5build1 with attached patch. Very simple and trivial patch, should be easy to backport for other distros if necessary. patch taken from wxwidgets cvs http://cvs.wxwidgets.org/viewcvs.cgi/wxWidgets/src/gtk/notebook.cpp.d
