Actually i was trying to reproduce it but couldn't too :-), a new byobu
installation looks just fine with ip address shown correct.
If i came across it again i will try to check the version too

Thanks for the bug report.
I can't reproduce it here, though. I have a system running in an OpenVZ
container, and the ip address is displaying correctly.
A few questions for you...
1) byobu -v#what version of byobu are you running?
2) ifconfig #what's the output of ifconfig?
