I downgraded the package in question and restarted the procedure and I
got my system upgrade - so no I can't try if apt-get -f install would
fix the problem =[.

Can you please try "sudo apt-get -f install" see if it fixes the depends
problems. Just FYI ubuntu doesnt really support non ubuntu packages and
this is why update-manager may not be fixing them for you. I will
however see the right people get informed about this bug. thank you for
your bug report.
